Professional | Full-Time | Engineering

Come join the new Vestas Blades Process Engineering organization. This organization is characterized as a co-located & process engineering team focused on developing and supporting the rest of the organization with subject matter experts (SMEs). An organization that embeds engineering skills directly into the manufacturing value stream and enables faster decision-making and deeper process ownership and Knowledge. Responsibilities

  • Creation and updating documentation to Shopfloor / Logistic teams (workers, quality and logistic teams) within Handling & Logistic operations.
  • Updated documentation is always available where needed.
  • Be loyal to the documentation principles described.
  • Be an engaged part in getting feedback from shop floors and logistic and Logistic & Handling team on the function and quality of the documentation delivered.
  • Perform internal quality check of the documentation.
  • Perform internal maturity check of the documentation up against our documented criteria described.
  • Keep stakeholders up to date on documentation lead time.
  • Develop training material for reading / use of the documentation packed.
  • Collaborate closely with the documentation specialist from the other documentation teams and share lessons learned.
  • Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Focus on modern documentation systems and material including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems.
  • Investigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys and Fishbone Diagrams.
  • Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.

Education

  • Bachelor engineering or equivalent
  • GB lean
  • Courses within Technical writing or and communication

Experience

  • About 6 years of experience in similar roles as described above

Worked with

  • Create process flow
  • Establish and maintain work instructions paper or digital
  • Validation of own work
  • Participate in development of Handling & Logistic documentation
  • Worked in a data driven organization
  • Optimization and standardization within manufacturing documentation with use of the toolbox

Important skills

  • Proficient writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex information.
  • Technical skills: Especially important for Logistic documentation, involving transportation and storage systems, production processes, or software systems. Translate technical jargon into user-friendly language.
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or compliance.
  • Willingness to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams to identify and solve production issues.
  • Self-motivated; result-oriented and possess strong organizational discipline.
  • Ability to work with others across cultures and time zones and build strong stakeholder networks.
  • Customer-oriented with understanding of the complete business value chain from a customer perspective.
  • Commitment to learning.
