Overview

Senior Delivery Consultant - Cloud Application, Professional Services at Amazon Web Services. A Delivery Consultant (DC) in ProServe is a technical expert who works directly with customers to implement and manage cloud solutions that align with their business objectives. This role combines deep technical knowledge of AWS services with strong consulting skills to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

A Delivery Consultant works closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, and how those objectives can be met through their cloud journey. They are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing AWS solutions, providing technical guidance and best practices, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring successful project delivery. They collaborate cross-functionally and leverage their expertise in cloud technologies to drive customer success.

Delivery Consultants have a deep understanding of AWS products and services, including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies. They are proficient in delivering complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. They work with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. They lead the implementation process, ensure adherence to best practices, optimize performance, and manage risks throughout the project. They are often trusted advisors, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to address customer challenges. They share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, creation of reusable artifacts and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud solutions aligned with customer objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance, best practices, troubleshooting, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor team members; create reusable artifacts and contribute to process improvements.
  • Assess customer infrastructure, gather requirements, and propose migration strategies to AWS.
  • Lead implementation activities, optimize performance, and manage project risks.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in cloud migration and modernization
  • Experience in cloud native, event-driven architectures

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS experience with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Terraform)
  • AWS experience in Containers (EKS or ECS), Microservices
  • Full-stack development experience
  • AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
