We’re looking for a Geospatial Information Technician to join a high-impact international initiative focused on geospatial innovation, advanced analytics, and scalable mapping solutions. If you're passionate about GIS, remote sensing, cartography, and geospatial applications, this role will give you the platform to make your work matter.
🧭 What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Produce operational maps and briefing materials.
- Process, evaluate, and manage vector and raster datasets.
- Design, develop, and maintain geospatial databases.
- Create 2D and 3D cartographic products and visualizations, including support for digital twins.
- Conduct spatial analysis and generate insights for decision-making.
- Develop and maintain web-map services and applications (desktop & mobile).
- Apply design system principles to ensure consistent sym layouts, color standards, and UI.
- Implement QC/QA processes to guarantee accuracy and consistency across all outputs.
- Perform geoprocessing, spatial queries, and model automation.
- Process satellite imagery for remote sensing tasks.
- Support field data collection planning and verification.
- Maintain catalogues, archives, and data security standards.
🎯 What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- 3+ years of experience in GIS, geospatial application development, remote sensing, or image analysis.
- Strong command of GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, etc.).
- Solid experience in spatial databases, geoprocessing, and cartography.
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience using remote sensing tools.Knowledge of OpenStreetMap tools (JOSM, iD).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Strong analytical mindset, detail orientation, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with 3D mapping.
- Experience in Digital Twin design and production.
