Industrial Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Industrial Engineer at FedEx.

What You Will Be Doing

• Supporting the Planning & Engineering Manager in conducting independent operational processes’ reviews focused on defined areas in Italian territory.
• Identifying needs and undertaking process improvement initiatives to maximize efficiencies and support local operational goals.
• Adapting and utilizing modelling tools to translate complex analysis into accurate and realistic productivity plans.
• Communicating new plans to internal departments ensuring understanding and then supporting implementation.
• Supporting internal studies and projects, e.g. the implementation of new technology, facility design, functional specifications, and feasibility studies.

What Do You Bring With You

• Master Engineering Degree (with preference for Industrial, Management, and Transportation Engineering).
• 1–2 years work experience in similar roles.
• Language: Italian – native. English – B2 high fluency expected.
• Analytical – data‑driven decisions are key; highly familiar with numbers and a structured approach.
• Planning – multi‑layer plans management, resource planning, and trade‑offs between operational costs and service levels.
• Project Management – leading or supporting cross‑functional projects, meeting deadlines and specific targets, experience in project teams, agile approach.
• Influencing and Persuasion – able to steer discussions and convince the audience based on facts and figures.
• Creative thinking – recognising improvement opportunities.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
• Data Science and Data management tools experience (Power BI, machine learning, AI).
• Possibility to travel within the Italian territory to support operations.
