Overview

Position Description

You will serve as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command ofNAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SIGONELLA .

Responsibilities

• You will conduct job hazard analyses, risk assessments, safety program evaluations, and hazard reviews.
• You will advise leadership, management, staff, supervisors, employees, and contractor personnel on a variety of safety and occupational health matters.
• You will establish, coordinate, direct, and evaluate the effectiveness of applicable safety programs.
• You will establish policy for the implementation of risk management throughout the command, establish risk management criteria for program evaluation, and report evaluations to command leadership.
• You will advise management, staff, supervisors, employees, and contractor personnel in the development of risk mitigation goals.
• You will plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate employee safety training in coordination with cognizant training groups offices and organizations.
• You will serve as the command representative on safety councils, committees, working groups, and integrated planning teams as established by higher authority and host-installation agreements.
