Position

Site Warehousing and Planning Director

About the role:

The Site Warehousing and Planning Director at the Aprilia site is responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain operations including planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics. This role ensures alignment with corporate objectives and drives continuous improvement in supply chain processes. Acts as Duty Holder for Workplace Transport and Warehouse Safety High severity risk. This position is based at the Aprilia site. The role requires close collaboration with local and global teams to ensure supply chain excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage supply chain functions including planning, procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Manage all activities related to supply chain for the Aprilia Site. This includes site logistics and distribution, plant level demand driven scheduling and planning, and plant liaison to direct sourcing.
  • Direct 3–6 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 30–70 employees within Supply Chain functions; oversee hiring, training, performance, and employee relations consistent with policies and law.
  • Direct the planning, scheduling, and controlling of production and inventories; procure all materials and supplies to support the production plan and plant operations.
  • Ensure and manage adequate warehousing facilities and direct shipping, receiving, and distribution.
  • Ensure Warehouse & Distribution operations comply with GMP, EHS Haleon standards and policies, and legal requirements (as “Dirigente della sicurezza”).
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Engineering, and Finance to execute plant production commitments.
  • Lead the plant to optimize Global/Regional supply chain and connect with Global/Regional Supply Chain organization via planning contacts.
  • Implement plans and programs for best-in-class materials management systems at lowest possible cost; manage departmental budgets and spending to meet targets.
  • Ensure systems and controls to optimize MRP, forecasting, plant connections and information flow for S&OP, Item Master, BOM, Work Center Masters, etc.
  • Own capacity management process and provide inputs for capacity analysis and asset allocation across the plant.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient material flow and inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive improvements in supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Promote adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
  • Support quality initiatives to ensure supply chain processes meet required standards.

EHS Responsibilities

  • Know, understand and comply with all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines
  • Report unsafe conditions
  • Report on all injuries, illnesses and hazardous materials releases
  • Wear personal protective equipment
  • Attend EHS training programs
  • Follow all safe work procedures
  • Acts as Duty Holder for Workplace Transport and Warehouse Safety High severity risk.

Quality Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards (Data Integrity, QA, and QC, etc.)
  • Adhere to QMS policy and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain/operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain systems and ERP software.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and managing cross-functional teams.
