What are your responsibilities as Junior Product Software Engineer?
You will immediately gain exposure to a variety of technologies, development teams, tools, and processes. As part of a Scrum team, under the guidance of senior team members, you will participate in software creation, estimation of development time, development itself, and integration stages.
Our core software engineering department is based in Lucca, where all teams work closely together to develop products for major industries such as banking, insurance, automotive, and food & beverage. Each team consists of a QA engineer and 5-6 software engineers. We strongly believe in the Agile way of working, with Scrum methodology embedded in our daily routines. We leverage teamwork, self-organization, and proactivity, as the best solutions come from collective intelligence and collaborative decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, enhance, and extend features of the product in collaboration with the team.
- Contribute to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve product software issues, working with Customer Support, other development teams, and Product Management.
- Leverage your self-starter instincts and capabilities to become an active team member.
- Use learning opportunities to stay updated with software development technology evolution.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar disciplines.
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of at least one Object-Oriented programming language, including but not limited to Java, JavaScript, C#.
- Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English.
It is better if you also have knowledge of the following:
- Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Angular, React.
- Relational and NoSQL databases.
- SDLC tools like Jira, GIT, IntelliJ, Maven.
- API design and REST principles.
- Unit Testing.
