About The Role

• Our Architecture team leads the design and delivery of the Solvay Infrastructure solution portfolio.
• As a Cloud and on‑premise hosting Architect, you will plan, coordinate and develop solutions and implementation activities to support the integration of applications and technologies. You will contribute to the organization\'s datacenter & cloud strategy, design the building blocks, and support their integration into application architectures.
• You will be accountable for:
• Leadership in Architecture Practice: Lead the architecture for Infrastructure domain, with a focus on hosting services in a hybrid cloud environment (Azure, AWS, On Premise Hosting).
• SAP RISE Solution
• Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with the Infrastructure Design & Build Manager to propose updates to solution roadmaps and align with strategic goals.
• Reference Architecture and Efficiency: Define functional and technical reference architecture patterns, balancing cost and efficiency in consultation with service owners.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor the solution portfolio to identify deficiencies, such as outdated technologies or misalignment with business requirements.
• Lifecycle Accountability: Coordinate the technical lifecycle of the platform, informing service owners about the technology replacement roadmap and decisions.
• End-of-Life Support: Aid product managers in decisions regarding the maintenance, refresh, or retirement of services, systems, and technologies.
• Consultation and Design Alignment: Consult on infrastructure and application projects to ensure alignment with the overall architecture and modify designs as needed.
• Architectural Design and Guidance: Create architectural designs to support product, service, and system development, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and project execution plans.

About You

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, engineering, system analysis or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant work experience across at least five IT solution development disciplines, including technical and infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development, with exposure to multiple technologies, platforms and processing environments.
• Competencies:
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Route 53, IAM, etc.)
• Azure Cloud
• SAP RISE
• On Premise Datacenter Architecture (On Premise Hardware: data center rack, power, SAN Storage)
• DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
• Active Directory / Entra ID / DNS; OS
• Windows Server / Linux
• Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL
• Network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs)
• IT security (TLS, firewalls, etc.)
• ITIL service management processes
• Technical and Management Expertise: Proficient in system development methodologies (e.g., agile, DevOps), ITSM, ITIL, and hybrid cloud architecture, with strong planning, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strategic and Emerging Trends: Experience applying emerging technologies and supporting agile teams with guidance on risks, opportunities and architectural decisions.

About The Pay And Benefits

• Competitive and equitable pay within a range based on skills and experience. Portugal base pay is approximately 46,720 to 73,000 euros, with a competitive total rewards package including bonus and incentives.
