Associate Business Developer, Amazon Shipping

Description

This is an opportunity to join a new team in the Amazon logistics business. We are looking for a highly-driven, entrepreneurial, analytical and customer-obsessed sales manager working as Associate Business Developer for Amazon Shipping Italy.

You will be joining the team recently launched in Italy and will be responsible for the commercial activity for small and medium companies, reaching out to new prospects and negotiating with them to onboard in the program. You will also collect market and customer insights to ensure we continue to improve our product and delight our customers.

Ideal Candidate

  • Excited by partnering in developing a new start-up.
  • A self-starter who can juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and often highly ambiguous environment.
  • Strong sales attitude and drive to meet and exceed program goals and revenue targets.
  • Able to communicate with senior leaders in a clear, concise, and structured manner – particularly in written form.
  • Easily shifting from strategic thinking to rolling up your sleeves and executing, in order to deliver results.

Location & Travel

This role will be based in Milan and requires moderate travel (maximum 25%). Italian speaking is required.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Identify strong prospects and close successful deals with them.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential future strategic customers.
  • Relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams, including Product Management and Technical.
  • Measure performance, articulate root‑cause analysis, and link to specific improvement areas.
  • Analyze current purchasing processes and evaluate opportunities for solutions to improve end‑user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organizational performance.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
