MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Mechanical Designer – Westrafo

Westrafo is a leading electromechanical transformer manufacturer founded in 2014, operating in Italy, Ghana and North America. We design and produce high‑performance transformers and distribution solutions for a wide range of energy applications.

Responsibilities

• Build 3‑D product models in SolidWorks from design data.
• Develop and verify 3‑D drawings.
• Support the engineering team in design checks, working closely with the project technical lead.
• Create multilayer product bill of materials (BOM) on PDM.
• Prepare final technical product and project documentation for the customer.
• Digitally archive all files and technical information related to the designed products.
• Develop documentation for the final customer.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma, preferably mechanical.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and geometry for building solids.
• SolidWorks 3‑D proficiency.
• Excellent Italian language level C1.
• Good technical written English.
• VBA (Excel) knowledge and Excel‑SolidWorks interfacing.
• Familiarity with PDM software.
• At least a few years of experience as a mechanical designer/engineer; junior motivated candidates are welcome and will receive training and mentoring.
