About the Melfi Seating Plant

Lear Corporation is a global leader in automotive seating and E-Systems. The Melfi plant produces high-quality seating systems for major automotive manufacturers and plays an important role in Lear’s European production network. The site focuses on advanced technology, strict quality standards and sustainable manufacturing.

Position Overview

As a Supplier Quality Supervisor you will ensure that all supplied components meet Lear’s quality standards and customer requirements. You will work closely with suppliers to improve their processes, manage incoming inspections and support new product launches.

Key Responsibilities

• Guarantee the quality of components received from suppliers.
• Manage suppliers to meet quality expectations and drive improvement actions.
• Organize and lead quality meetings with suppliers at plant level.
• Handle claim management and coordinate daily work with suppliers (sorting, scrap, etc.).
• Initiate and escalate CSL issues and follow up on corrective actions.
• Review and report on supplier performance and quality status.
• Ensure APQP compliance and oversee supplier PPAPs for changes and new products.
• Prepare, purchase and maintain testing and measurement equipment.
• Check and approve packaging of purchased parts.
• Provide fit & function reporting after assembly trials.
• Collaborate with Logistics for material flow management in line with Control Plans.
• Support safe launch plans for new products.
• Create statistics and analyse opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
• Fluent Italian and English.
• 3+ years of experience in a quality environment (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and meet plant targets.
