Position: R&D Concept Lab Manager

Join our R&D Department to lead the Concept Lab, focusing on creating new eyewear components such as hinges, nose-pads, temple-tips, and other small functional details.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Supervise project development, managing multiple projects and resources efficiently.
  2. Lead and support a team of 4 FTEs in developing eyewear mechanical concepts, setting priorities, and resource allocation.
  3. Provide technical and professional support to overcome development obstacles.
  4. Coordinate with other departments like Product and Brand Management, Engineering, Quality, and Sourcing.
  5. Develop and manage relationships with external partners for concept development.
  6. Define and manage the yearly budget for the team and projects.
  7. Maintain a product-oriented mindset, focusing on customer needs.
  8. Ensure timing constraints are met through effective action planning.
  9. Foster innovation by exploring new concepts and techniques for efficient implementation.

Main requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering.
  • Experience leading an R&D engineering team.
  • Background in product design, interior design, luxury automotive, or fashion accessories is a plus.
  • Skills in project management, product development, and mechanical design.
