As a Senior Project Engineer you'll lead the execution of projects with medium‑high technical complexity and intensity within all GTE market segments (Downstream, Industrial, Pipeline, Power Generation) for packages driven by electric motor (centrifugal or reciprocating compressor as driven equipment) and packages driven by Steam Turbines and Gas Turbine for mechanical drive and power generation application.

You'll be the coordinator of the whole Engineering project team and the contact point for customers and company stakeholders supporting the project. You'll supervise quality and timeliness of projects, establishing a solid connection with Project Management, Supply Chain and Engineering execution team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing Customer technical interfaces and related communication
  • Reviewing and assessing information received from ITO needed to start the job
  • Ensuring proper understanding of technical Customer needs inside the Baker Hughes IET Engineering organization
  • Managing bill of material for the assigned project to be in accordance to contractual requirement and internal procedures
  • Identifying customer's requirement indicated in contractual technical specifications and assuring correct CTQ flow-down, integrated with product line standards throughout DR process
  • Attending quality meeting with customer and third parties involved, supporting Project Quality manager to review project quality control plan (QCP/ITP)
  • Reviewing Test specifications, and attends machinery test with suppliers and or client, supporting different Company Functions involved in the assigned job and leading VDR completeness after material shipping, productivity and leakage review

Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Engineering discipline, Mechanical/Aeronautic or Chemical
  • 5 years significant experience in a multidisciplinary assignment, in Oil & Gas environment as System Engineer, Lead Design Engineer
  • Experience in machinery design (preferred Steam Turbine/Gas-Expander/Centrifugal Compressor, Recips)
  • Solid Knowledge of plant philosophy and of main components for steam turbine power generation, Petrochemical plant, Refinery
  • Solid team management and project fulfilment execution experience
  • Able to work in a matrix organisation and willingness and ability to travel
