To perform the activities pertaining to the planning, reporting and cost controlling within a Project (or part thereof) of any size and complexity, under the supervision of the Project Control Coordinator, in full compliance with the contract requirement and the Group and company Standards and procedures.

Overview

Project Control Engineer roles involve planning, reporting and cost controlling activities for projects, under supervision, in alignment with contract requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Control Coordinator during the development of the budget of competence (e.g., Original Budget).
  • Prepare the proposal schedule at different levels, as defined by the Proposal Manager.
  • Prepare project planning control documents (e.g., Milestones Plan, WBS, Reporting, Manpower Histograms) in compliance with contract requirements or scope changes.
  • Prepare project control reports, outputs and presentations as requested by the Sales Manager/Project Manager.
  • Draft Project Schedules with the relevant logic/data, in compliance with the Contract Scope of Work, for approval by the Project Manager; implement and update approved schedules in company tools.
  • Perform Critical Path Analysis and provide Schedule Commentary with identified critical items.
  • Cooperate in periodical schedule control using time now technique; assess progress and forecast completion; discuss deviations with the Project Control Coordinator/Project Manager.
  • Identify, analyze and monitor schedule deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties; include vendors/subcontractor submittals and recommend corrective actions.
  • Execute time impact analyses for potential changes, including what-if delay analyses as required.
  • Monitor and control manhour expenditure and productivity trends aligned with project needs.
  • Perform periodical control activities to assess project forecasts for revenues, costs and profitability, noting deviations from budgets.
  • Support the preparation and timely updating of Cost Control documents and Periodical Reports.
  • Support evaluation of cost impact and contingency allocation due to variations (Scope of Work, Change orders, Contract variations).
  • Provide relevant project information to support the Project Manager’s decisions when required.
  • Support time impact analyses for potential changes/claims (to contract/P.O. requirements).
  • At project completion, assist in collecting data for future development of the company’s database and proper filing of the Project Close-out report.
