Unipol Assicurazioni S.p.A., a leading multi-line insurance company in Italy, is seeking an experienced COBOL programmer to join the Software Sinistri Back Office development team in Bologna. The role involves programming to ensure the proper operation of the second-level claims processing system and back-office systems, complying with regulatory requirements such as "BOLLATI" and "MDV IVASS".

The main activities include :

• Analyzing business requirements with relevant functions to ensure detailed understanding of business needs.
• Developing application solutions in COBOL aimed at managing production deployments for data exchange within the company and with external entities.
• Implementing secure development practices to protect applications and sensitive data.
• Supporting testing and certification phases to ensure high software quality.

Requirements :

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, with excellent final grades.
• At least 5-6 years of professional experience in software development, preferably in banking, insurance, or IT consulting firms within financial services.
• Good knowledge of COBOL programming language.
• Knowledge of JAVA is a preferred asset.
• Experience with insurance software projects and understanding of claims management in damage insurance.
• Deep understanding of system performance measurement, including performance testing, monitoring, and diagnosis.
