Overview
At the St. Regis Rome, we are looking for a Finance Supervisor and Capital support. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the profile will support the Finance department of The St. Regis Rome and The Westin Excelsior Rome, with a focus on analytical activities, capital plan and financial support to the operational departments of the two hotels.
CRITICAL TASKS
General Finance and Accounting
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Support period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
- Code documents according to company policies and procedures.
- Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Record, store, and/or analyze information using property software.
- Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
- Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.
- Generate finance/accounting reports from computer system as needed.
- Coordinate tasks and work with other departments.
- Serve as a departmental role model.
- Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards.
- Support the capital plan preparation and execution.
- Support the departments for incremental margin, through analytical accounting and business controlling.
Assists Management
- Coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently.
- Perform analyses on new projects (e.g., collecting information from departments, calculating ROI), providing timely feedback to the field.
- Facilitate and speed up activities related to investment projects, both in the phase of defining departmental needs and during the project launch and accounting phases.
- Collect data promptly for monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Monitor, together with department managers and in coordination with assistant controllers, the performance of specific aspects of the business (e.g. P&L by initiative or event).
- Support the various finance functions (active/passive cycle, receivables, etc.) when needed.

- Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
- Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers and property assets.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.

- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Degree in economics
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
