The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee is responsible for organizing, promoting and communicating the sporting and cultural events related to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026. We are driven by the values: respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability. Milano Cortina 2026 will involve 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities over an area of 22,000 square km. The Organizing Committee was established in 2019 to organize Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed by the IOC, Milano, Cortina and CONI. Partners include the Italian Paralympic Committee, Lombardy and Veneto regions, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen, with support from the Italian Government.

Position:

This position is an integral part of the Venues & Infrastructure (VNI) functional area and will support the team in designing and delivering the temporary infrastructures for one or more venues, in line with agreed milestones, reporting to the Overlay Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop overlay design and delivery for one or more competition and/or non-competition venues
  • Support the overlay delivery processes, including change management, liaising with MC26 suppliers and stakeholders
  • Manage the setup and production of design and overlay related documents through the appropriate software
  • Suggest, follow instructions and report on design work and delivery of overlay projects across one or more venues
  • Coordinate the venue design and delivery
  • Support ongoing relationships with service providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery
  • Ensure a high standard of relationships with internal functions, stakeholders and contractors
  • Coordinate cross-functional requirements to ensure effective communication and development
  • Share ideas and information with the team and contribute to the team environment
  • Be aware of and comply with the Corporation’s health and safety policies, standards, practices and program

Requirements

  • Qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management
  • Excellent language skills in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage
  • IT experience, professional use of CAD/BIM software, knowledge of usual office software
  • Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary projects and in previous Organizing Committees or Multi-Sport Events is an advantage
  • Experience in the design of sporting venues and temporary infrastructures for major sport events
  • Capability of developing projects and delivering on time
  • Coordination of multiple stakeholders’ needs and specifications
  • Good coordinator with common sense, able to follow instructions
