Senior Consolidation & Foreign Subsidiaries Controlling Manager

For a market‑leading Italian Group in the intermodal logistics and container terminal management sector, part of an international network, we are hiring a Senior Consolidation & Foreign Subsidiaries Controlling Manager.

The successful candidate, who will join the Finance & Control (AFC) Directorate and report directly to the CFO, will hold a strategic and operational role, providing a transversal view across all Group companies. They will be responsible for managing subsidiaries, overseeing group consolidation, and defining accounting policies. This role will serve as the technical‑accounting reference point for the Board and investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Consolidation and Reporting
    • Full coordination of periodic closings (monthly, quarterly, annual) and preparation of the consolidated financial statements (statutory and management) in compliance with Italian GAAP (OIC) and IFRS.
    • Oversight of intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and consolidated management reporting.
  • 2. Foreign Subsidiaries and Equity Investments Control
    • Coordination of administrative and reporting processes for foreign subsidiaries (mainly in North Africa).
    • Monitoring the profitability and financial health of foreign entities.
    • Providing support to local finance teams for monthly closings, forecasts, and tax matters.
  • 3. Accounting Policies and Governance
    • Definition and monitoring of the Group's accounting and reporting guidelines and ensuring their accurate implementation (OIC/IFRS) by local entities.
    • Providing oversight of financial governance, proposing structural improvements.
  • 4. Corporate Business Partnering & Strategic Projects
    • Collaboration with Corporate functions (Legal, IT, HR, Operations) on projects with financial and compliance impact.
    • Support for the CFO for extraordinary transactions (M&A, financing) and coordination of strategic projects (e.g., ERP implementation).

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience of at least 7-10 years in consolidation and management control roles, preferably in international or listed groups.
  • Degree in Economics (or related fields); a Master's degree or international certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of OIC and IFRS accounting principles, consolidation logic, and company control.
  • Proven experience in coordinating foreign entities, with expertise in international tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Excellent proficiency with ERP tools and consolidation software (SAP, Tagetik, Oracle, HFM, Board).
  • Natural leadership, decision‑making autonomy, strategic thinking, and a strong results orientation.

Work Location: Eastern hinterland of Milan.
