RINA is currently recruiting for a FPGA Engineer to join its office in Roma or Genova within the Space & Defence Division.
Mission
The role focuses on designing, implementation, testing and optimization of FPGA-based solutions for a variety of applications.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide support to system engineer for FPGA definition
- Define the FPGA detailed specification
- Define and evaluate IP cores to be procured
- Define the FPGA architecture
- Design the FPGA in VHDL
- Perform coding rules conformance check
- Perform code coverage
- Design the testbench for the FPGA
- Perform simulation
- Perform synthesis and P&R
- Analysis of pre and post-layout simulations
- Participate to FPGA test and validation
Education
Master’s Degree in Electronic/TLC Engineering or Electronics
Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or Physics
- Ability to understand the VHDL and / or Verilog-System Verilog code
- In-depth knowledge of FPGA development tools (Vivado)
- Experience in hardware development for Digital Signal Processing applications
- FPGA design and simulation skills
- Project Development Plan: development, testing, integration, documents
- Good knowledge of Tools: Vivado HLS 2018.3; QuestaSim 10.6
- Good knowledge of laboratory instrumentation (es multimeter and oscilloscope)
- Nice to have: previous experience in FPGA design in military will be appreciated
