Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated AUTOMATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in Naples or Genoa, Italy.
Contribute to the delivery of a software fulfilling input requirements (Functional, Performances, Quality), based on the most efficient modular design managing the best compromise between Budget, Schedule, Risks, Reuse and standardization for future.
Education required : Master / Bachelor degree in Computer / Electronics / Telecommunications / Automation Engineering
Experience : At least 3 years in development of web applications for both front end (client side) and back end (server side)

Language : English : upper intermediate level required
Knowledge : UI / UX design; strong background in web application development; front-end : HTML5, CSS, JavaScript; at least one modern front-end framework (preferred Angular); back-end : at least one framework (preferred Spring Boot and Node.js); server-side languages (Java, Python, C# / .Net, etc.); unit and integration testing, continuous integration; SQL and NOSQL databases; microservice pattern (preferred Docker); Linux
Travel : Willingness to travel up to 50%
