Purpose of the Job
Delegated by the TVE and under the technical responsibility of the Train Manager, the Test Manager acts as « Project owner » for the comprehensive range of Integration/Tuning and Certification/Validation tests.

Main Responsibilities
Performance Measurement
- Timely execution of the test program
- Respect of tracks reservation compliant to test program
- Respect the tests schedule and durations
Test Manager is responsible for:
Permanently:
- Representing the TVE, on board the train, during validations and certification tests
- Being the entry point for all the request of activities on train related to testing and coordinating them.
- Organising on a day to day basis, the way tests will be carried out
- Making sure that tests equipment and instrumentation are always operational and available
- Being the interlocutor, on a daily basis, of the Railway Test Centre or Public Infrastructure and follows the way various testing phases are organised.
Before the tests:
- Ensuring that test teams respect safety rules and procedures on board the train and preparing the work Authorization s.
- Preparing the test implementation (staffing, availability of tools, calibrated measurement devices, and on-board spare parts, ...)
- Checking that train a/o subsystems are compliant to the last Applicable configuration issued by System Engineer team
- Arranging with his/her test center’s counter-part the test slot booking
During the tests:
- Conducting the tests and carrying out the tests to be done by ALSTOM in coordination with the Train Manager (T&C)
- Operationally coordinating all the testing teams and laboratories on board
- Defining the priorities in case of conflicts between tests activities
After the tests:
- Creating the failure reports.
- Producing the test book (test events chronology) and daily shift reports
