Sr Manager, Software Development, AWS GenAI Security

As an AWS Security team member, you will help secure that environment for our customers while working on next generation security products for a variety of platforms and technologies, all operating at massive scale.

We are looking for an experienced Software Development leader to join the AWS Security team. As a Software leader, you will own building and managing a team of security and software engineers and leaders, fostering a strong team culture. You and your team will be responsible for building tools to assist with reviewing and testing our new services before release, partnering closely with our development teams to produce innovative and secure solutions.

A Software Leader must foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution when confronted with discordant views. Leaders in this role are expected to participate fully in the planning of the AWS Security team's work and constantly seek opportunities for process improvement.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Building Strategic Plans for Software Development
• Ensure a High Security Bar at Scale
• Deliver Software Solutions on a large scale
• Lead a high performing software and security team to deliver with speed, scale, and efficiency

A day in the life: We are a specialized security team focused on protecting AWS's Generative AI services. Our role combines application security and penetration testing expertise to establish and maintain security standards across all AWS GenAI offerings.

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience leading, managing & developing high performance software teams
• 12+ years of progressive experience within a software team or similar operating environment
• BA/BS in computer science, information security, related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with reviewing threat models and architectures for distributed systems
• Experience with AWS AI/Gen AI services and their security properties
• Experience with defining security tenants for the solutions based on customer security expectations
• Strong information security risk-based prioritization abilities
