Sergio Rossi, the made-in-Italy luxury footwear brand established in 1951 that is 100% controlled by Lanvin Group, the global luxury fashion group of Fosun, is currently looking for a Designer hired on a maternity leave replacement contract to be based in the HQs offices.

The ideal candidate will be part of the Design Team and will report to the Head of Design.

He / she will be involved in the following main activities :

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Design and Junior Designer to develop seasonal footwear collections from concept to prototype;
  • Close collaboration with the Creative Director among the listed working relationships;
  • Research global fashion trends, materials, and technologies to inspire innovative and commercially viable designs;
  • Create detailed technical drawings (by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) programs), mood boards, and color / material specifications;
  • Translate brand identity and market needs into creative footwear concepts;
  • Work closely with product development, merchandising, wholesale and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost effectiveness;
  • Support sample development, provide constructive feedback, and help maintain alignment with the overall design vision;
  • Stay informed on competitor products and consumer insights to guide design decisions;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, or a related field;
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a footwear designer, preferably within luxury brands;
  • Excellent drawing ability;
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D design tools);
  • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative footwear designs across multiple categories (e.g., casual, performance, luxury);
  • Solid knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes;
  • Knowledge of the shoes market and its future trends, colors, and consumer preferences;
  • Fluent English and willingness to travel to the production site;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
