Position Overview

Research Assistant II in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (21100). To commence in December for one year, with possibility of renewal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biological or medical sciences, or related discipline.
• Interest in human genomics and/or clinically oriented translational research.
• Prior experience with cell culture, patient-derived cells or iPSC-differentiated cell types (advantage).
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, eager to learn, responsible, able to work both independently and in a team.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory work and contribute to multi-omics research projects under supervision of Dr. Brian Chung.
• Build foundation in essential genomics research skills while contributing to high‑impact studies.
• Prospects to co‑author publications and present findings at international conferences.
