Go Global Travel is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with strong connections within Travel Agencies in Rome, who is interested in joining a fast-growing, international organization.

GGT has 30 offices worldwide offering a multicultural environment and employs people with diverse experiences and life paths.

This position is for native Italian speakers based in the Rome metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand GGT market share in the Rome area by proactively seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and profit according to the company's KPI forecast.
  • Reporting – regular internal communication with Managing Director on account’s progress, trends, successes/failures, and other aspects to drive business success.
  • Manage and document account activity in CRM.
  • Create and execute sales plans that support business growth.
  • Travel to conduct client visits to review sales, booking system training, and assistance to help grow the business likewise meeting new prospects to present GGT value proposition.
  • Support clients when needed with escalated customer service concerns and ensure a solution.
  • Monitor and report on market trends and competitor activity.
  • Liaise with other departments and teams (including Accounting, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Product, R&D, etc.)
  • Other duties as directed by the Area Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B Sales.
  • Background in B2B OTA business or Travel Agency – strong advantage.
  • Based in Rome metropolitan area – advantage.
  • Mid-level English – nice to have.
  • Position is not open for candidates without travel industry background.
