Electrical SQE is responsible to manage any technical/quality aspect related to Suppliers. The main objective is to expand and develop the supply base in line with business needs, continuously improving the quality level of the supplier base, reducing both escaping defects and associated Cost of Quality.

All activities are connected with Suppliers and the various internal functions, i.e. Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for
  • Qualify Suppliers
  • Carry out periodic audits to verify compliance with qualification requirements
  • Perform QMS audits and support suppliers’ on boarding
  • Execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and define Corrective Actions (CA) in case of escaping defects to avoid reoccurrence
  • Stimulate a Quality driven and Continuous Improvement mentality in supplier’s organization, with mutually trustful and proficient relationships
  • Manage effective communication with internal Baker Hughes stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Procurement Buyers, Procurement Fulfillment Managers, Project Managers, Project Quality Managers, Project Engineers, etc.)
  • Manage on the job inspections according to the Quality Control Plans
  • Manage Supplier Deviation Requests (SDR)
  • Manage Supplier’s related Non-Conformity Records (NCR-CCM)

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Work experience and/or technical knowledge in manufacturing of electrical systems (motors, panels, etc..).
  • Have proven experience in acting and driving corrective action with suppliers
  • Structured data driven mindset
  • Intellectual rigor-accuracy
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Attitude to set aggressive targets and challenge status quo
  • Communication skills both internally with different functions and externally with suppliers
  • Fluency in English and Italian
  • Be able to travel (up to 30%) domestic and internationally
  • EU Work Permit
  • Knowledge of FMEA methodology
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Be results driven and self-directing
  • Knowledge of Baker Hughes IET products
  • Six Sigma understanding
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
