Account Executive - Financial Media Relations

DAG Communication is a Milan-based agency, with a branch in Shanghai, China. The agency offers services including media relations, digital communication, social media / influencer marketing, and event management.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site job position for an Account Executive - Media Relations with a focus on finance and fintech to integrate into the related division at DAG Communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day implementation of B2B communication programs that produce outstanding media results
  • Conduct media (traditional and social) monitoring based on account and/or agency needs
  • Leverage traditional media as well as digital/emerging technologies for PR programming and influencer outreach
  • Contribute to client and internal meetings to ensure efficient and productive interactions; produce resources including agendas, recaps, etc.
  • Manage assignments to ensure that deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Support campaign measurement and reporting
  • Monitor and analyse industry and competitor trends and providing insightful recommendations to team and client
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key journalists and media contacts
  • Produce quality written deliverables (press releases, case studies, scenario articles, pitches, newsjacking / comments)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in public relations or public affairs at an agency or corporate in‑house (financial experience required)
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • Ability to collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams balanced with ability to work independently to advance projects
  • Consultancy and solution-oriented approach to assigned projects
  • Appreciation for, and interest in, relationship between traditional public relations and the use of current online/digital technology and social media
  • Passion for contributing to positive working relationships with colleagues within the agency
  • Attention to detail to facilitate responsible campaign tracking/reporting and material development
  • Ability to manage projects, multi-task, and maintain high-quality work while meeting multiple client demands
