PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Within the Advanced Procurement Solutions team, we seek a Specialist responsible for ensuring coherence between BU Product Platforms and Procurement activities. The role involves developing joint strategies for supplier selection and safeguarding the product development phase. The specialist will represent Procurement within the BU Platform organization, handling both tactical and strategic activities related to current products, with a focus on direct material cost management impacting overall product costs.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  1. Represent procurement within the Platform core team from acquisition to SOP.
  2. Support preliminary RFIs for critical components prior to official RFQs, aligned with Group Procurement strategy.
  3. Verify market prices against target costs for new products and technical solutions.
  4. Manage sourcing processes considering economics and timing, including technical and economic documentation, supplier bid list definition, and sourcing plan tracking.
  5. Develop and manage sourcing rollout plans in line with project milestones and procurement needs for prototypes and start-up components.
  6. Issue spot orders to support prototyping, production, and R&D costs.
  7. Initiate supplier onboarding through PD Letters.
  8. Monitor development and industrialization activities of suppliers, including defining and negotiating Development Agreements.
  9. Manage changes during development until PPAP release and through the product lifecycle.
  10. Implement recovery actions for procurement issues during development.
  11. Assist BU functions in claims negotiations with suppliers.
  12. Participate in IATF/ISO 9001 audits through document collection and involvement.
  13. Support production during development and ramp-up phases.

EDUCATION & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree; engineering background considered a plus.
  • Experience in procurement roles.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Problem-solving orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
