System Engineer

For an important insurance broker with offices in 12 countries, we are looking for a System Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor IT infrastructure systems (Operating Systems, Middleware and Databases) in alignment with Group security policies and resilience requirements,
• Establish and documents IT infrastructure guidelines or SOP (Standard Operating Procedures),
• Translate customer and development needs into reliable IT infrastructure setups,
• Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability (Design, reactivity to incidents and on-call systems),
• Implement warranty and support activities,
• Evaluate the existing systems and provides the technical direction to their evolution,
• Plan and implement system automation as required for better efficiency,
• Oversee the development of customized software and hardware requirement,
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures,
• Deals with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders,
• Provide IT infrastructure management or support activities to all group entities (Based in France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, UK, Hungary and Belgium).

Education and Experience Requirements

• IT Engineering Degree,
• Good Microsoft Windows Server experience,
• Good Microsoft SQL Server System Management experience (DBA skills are not required),
• Good Microsoft Azure cloud experience,
• Network experience is appreciated,
• Linux experience is appreciated (Especially with Red Hat OpenShift),
• Certification may be helpful.
