Our Client, Private equity team focused on investing in small and mid-sized companies with strong growth potential and entrepreneurial leadership. Approach combines disciplined investment processes with hands-on value creation alongside management teams.
They are looking for an Investment Associate to join their Milan-based team. The role offers the opportunity to work directly with partners and portfolio company CEOs on all aspects of the investment cycle - from origination to portfolio management and exit.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination and evaluation of new investment opportunities in the Italian mid-market.
- Conduct financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence activities across a variety of sectors.
- Participate in the structuring and execution of new transactions.
- Work closely with portfolio companies, supporting strategic initiatives, growth projects, and value creation plans.
- Prepare investment materials, presentations, and internal documentation for decision-making processes.
What We’re Looking For
- 2-5 years of experience in private equity or direct investment roles, ideally with exposure to small and mid-sized companies.
- Proven track record in executing transactions end-to-end, not just advisory.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, combined with strategic and operational curiosity.
- Entrepreneurial mindset - proactive, pragmatic, and comfortable engaging directly with founders and management teams.
- Genuine interest in building businesses and creating long-term value in the SME landscape.
- Fluent Italian and professional English are required.
