Job Description

Execution of building services within energy-from-waste plants, from conceptual engineering to system handover:

  • Responsible for cost, quality, and schedule for mechanical building services (process heating and ventilation, admin building HVAC and sanitation, BMS, etc.)
  • Coordinate and develop Concept and Basic Engineering considering internal and external interfaces
  • Manage interfaces and coordinate engineering with stakeholders (layout, civil, firefighting, electrical, process, construction)
  • Liaise with external consultants and expedite deliverables
  • Prepare technical specifications for procurement packages
  • Oversee supplier selection and timely purchase orders
  • Expedite suppliers during detailed engineering, including documentation and inspections
  • Collaborate with procurement, civil, electrical, and process departments
  • Coordinate construction activities, ensuring plant integration and interface checks
  • Ensure supplier adherence to HZI specifications and review documentation
  • Implement supplier data into CAE tool COMOS
  • Conduct factory acceptance tests and support installation and commissioning

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in mechanical engineering
  • Over 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in plant engineering
  • Strong process and product knowledge
  • Experience in plant construction
  • Supplier management and procurement experience for complex systems
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Skills in planning, organization, problem-solving, quality standards, assertiveness, teamwork, and communication
  • Ability to recognize solutions, adapt, and perform in various situations based on experience
