SAP Basis Consultant

Your Role and Responsibilities

The IBM Client Innovation Center is seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Consultant with proven expertise in user and role profiling to join our team on a consultancy basis. The consultant will play a key role in managing SAP security, user roles, and authorizations while ensuring the system aligns with IBM and client standards for compliance, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide SAP Basis administrative support, including system configuration, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
• Design, implement, and manage user and role profiling, ensuring compliance with IBM security policies and industry standards.
• Analyze and resolve Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts and other authorization-related issues.
• Support role clean-up and optimization activities, enhancing the system's efficiency and security.
• Collaborate with IBM teams and clients to define authorization strategies and implement solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP Basis with a focus on security, role profiling, and authorizations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP authorization concepts, including SoD principles and risk mitigation strategies.
• Hands-on experience with SAP GRC or similar tools.
• Familiarity with SAP landscapes and operating systems (Linux, Windows).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
• SAP certifications, particularly in Basis or Security, are a plus.
