Responsibilities

For Data Intelligence Line, NTT DATA seeks an AWS Data Engineer.

In this role, you will work on AWS Data Platform projects, collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcomes. You will handle data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

• Understand current application infrastructure and suggest improvements
• Define and document best practices for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
• Migrate infrastructure with zero downtime to a scalable, highly available setup
• Set up monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack
• Develop service capacity planning strategies
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS tools
• Write infrastructure as code with CloudFormation or similar tools

Required Skills

• Experience in cloud-native environments, especially AWS (preferably 5+ years)
• Knowledge of Big Data architectures, cloud and on-premise
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; ECS/EKS experience is a plus
• Experience with serverless AWS Lambda
• Strong security practices (IAM Roles, KMS, etc.)
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure and networking experience
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud
• Monitoring distributed infrastructure with AWS tools or open-source solutions
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, shell scripting
• Experience with Agile and Kanban methodologies
• AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect and/or Developer
