Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist you will be challenged in transforming large, complex data-sets into actionable insights, thus leveraging data to identify, quantify and realize tangible business value.

About This Vacancy

Depending on your expertise and affinity, areas of application may include Manufacturing, Mobility, Telecommunications and Healthcare.

The work will mainly be conducted in project teams of various (technical) disciplines. It is crucial that you have a good overview of the possible applications of your expertise and that you are able to see beyond the numbers and be the voice of data when communicating to decision makers.

What We Expect From You

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience
• Previous industry experience
• Strong working knowledge of C, C++, C#, Matlab, Python, R, Java
• Working knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, SQL and / or noSQL
• Working knowledge of common BI toolkits, such as Tableau, Qlikview
• Proven experience in modeling physical-technical problems, risk modeling, algorithm development, image processing and / or data analysis
• Experience with processing large data sets (> 1 TB) is considered a plus
• Experience with image processing is considered a plus
• Good oral and written communicative skills
• Stress resistant, team player and strong personality
• Fluent in English and Italian
