About The Opportunity

As Director of Supply Chain, you’ll responsibly lead the full scope of operations in Sri Lanka, shaping strategy and execution with a global mindset. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll work closely with our international supply chain teams to align local performance with broader business goals—ensuring we move in step across borders. Your leadership will be key in refining production planning and logistics to drive cost efficiency, elevate customer satisfaction, and bring our corporate vision to life. You’ll also champion innovation across warehouse operations, indirect material sourcing, and demand/raw material planning—leveraging smart technologies to set new benchmarks in supply chain excellence.

Your Role and Impact

  • Build and lead a high‑performing team through effective recruitment, training, and continuous development.
  • Responsible for the following key functional areas:
    • Customer Service
    • Demand and Raw Material Planning
    • Warehouse and Logistics Operations
    • Inventory Volume and Value Management (ensuring KPI targets are met and production remains uninterrupted)
    • Strategic Initiatives for Indirect Materials and Services
    • Support for Raw Material Management
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent production delays and manage cycle‑count programs to ensure inventory system accuracy.
  • Leverage digital tools, including AI and other technologies, to streamline and optimize the end‑to‑end supply chain process—from raw materials to finished tires.
  • Report timely and structured reporting (daily, weekly, and monthly) on key events, KPIs, and performance insights to the Managing Director.

Your Eligibility

  • MSc. Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or an equivalent professional qualification
  • 10 or more years of post‑qualifying experience in a similar capacity with hands‑on experience in managing all the above areas.

Demonstrate strategic leadership with strong interpersonal, coordination, and organizational skills. Bring:

  • Effective negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities
  • A problem‑solving mindset with analytical and interpretive skills
  • Proven expertise in supply chain management, including production planning, raw materials, warehousing, mold change, and preventive maintenance
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 standards for safety auditing and risk assessment
  • Ability to use AI and technology tactfully
  • Agility in navigating challenges and sound intuition in decision‑making
