Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain. The activity of NAS domain involves avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Forces around the world. Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.

Objective

As part of the Customer Service department, reporting directly to the I&C and Training Manager and working closely with his team, after the necessary internal training period, the resource will mainly be responsible for conducting theoretical and practical training courses for customers. They will transfer the technical knowledge necessary to enable customers to operate and maintain the systems produced and supplied by the company, such as electronic radio navigation and instrument landing equipment, including related antenna and remote control systems. Activities will mainly take place in training rooms within the company and, in some cases, on site in Italy and abroad, at customer installation sites where NAVAIDS and NRS systems are located, mainly civil and military airports. Courses will be held mainly in English for foreign customers, unless the resource is able to deliver them in their native language, or in Italian where applicable.

Detailed job description and responsibilities

  • Conduct training activities for customers on the systems marketed by the company, following established methods, timelines, and guidelines.
  • Deliver the training according to the training plan (TP) and syllabus, released for dedicated projects according to the customer technical specification.
  • When applicable, help students prepare for a certification exam.
  • Interact with customers/students and other actors to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Organize feedback loops with trainees and customers.
  • Continuously improve training sessions.
  • Provide guidance to the training content definition and may be involved in content definition itself.
  • Ensure standards, procedures, practices and controls are being followed.
  • Manage and coordinate external resources when internal ones are unavailable or overbooked.
  • Maintain training equipment/simulators and be responsible for training test equipment calibrations.

Required Qualification And Skills

  • Qualifications: high school, preferably in electronics or telecommunications.
  • Previous experience in managing customer training and/or radio frequency-related training.
  • Strong communication skills.

Years of experience

  • Up to 3–5 years, preferably in areas related to the activities described above.
  • English language: fluent in writing and speech.
  • Knowledge of French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic or other languages is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of RF, analog, digital and IT technologies.
  • Safe handling of PC tools such as Excel, Word, etc.
