The Commissioning Engineer Software PLC and communication networks figure inserted within the Instrumentation & Control team will be responsible for the SW design, testing and commissioning of industrial systems for HVAC and thermofluidic process control applied to engine and vehicle testing systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop the basic architecture of the process control system, which includes PLC, HMI, SCADA PC, drives and communication networks.
• Develop internally and/or with external partners the PLC SW, HMI / SCADA interfaces and communication protocols with third parties.
• Carry out the commissioning / start-up of the systems at the customers' premises.
• Produce the final documentation of the process control system (e.g. instructions for use).
• Produce internal / end-user training courses on the developed control system.
• Update the process control system with new technologies, pursuing the concept of standardization, modularity and flexibility of the system.
• Create technical supply specifications for any external development.

Profile

• Experience gained in the role of PLC SW design in industrial/automotive plants.
• Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Automation / Electronics.
• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanics, thermodynamics and process control.
• Good knowledge of PLC-based control systems, in particular for the Siemens S7 and TIA Portal environment.
• Knowledge of integrated safety techniques (Safety Integrated), in particular for the Siemens TIA Portal environment
• Ability to develop HMI interfaces (PC-based) and SCADA applications (TIA Portal, Unified, Emerson Movicon).
• Knowledge of industrial Ethernet communication networks and the main field buses used in the automation field in the automotive sector (Profinet, Profibus, Ethercat, CAN, Modbus); ability to develop drivers / communication interfaces.
• Good knowledge of Personal Computers and the main operating systems.
• Knowledge of the main directives relating to plants, safety and directives.
• Availability to travel to customers in Italy and occasionally abroad.
