Application Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Application Engineer (Cable & Harnessing) in the Automation BU.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer specifications, drawings, and BOMs to define appropriate cable & harness solutions.
• Support design‑in activities for automation systems, robotics, sensors, drives, and control equipment.
• Provide technical support during RFQ preparation, feasibility studies, prototypes, and validation phases.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to adapt designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability.
• Produce accurate technical documentation, reports, and presentations for both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Act as technical support during installation, troubleshooting, and product qualification.

Profile

• Application‑focused engineer with strong technical grounding in automation systems and electrical harnessing.
• Many years of experience in application, field, or design engineering in industrial automation, robotics, or electrical harness/cabling.
• Solid knowledge of harness design, electrical connectivity, and industrial automation standards.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Fluent in English; German a plus (written & spoken).
• Excellent technical communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to support customers and projects.
