Technologist – Specialist in Foundry Processes and Investment Casting

Degree required: Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical / Aerospace)

Activities:

The selected candidate will work within the Manufacturing Engineering department, under the supervision of the department head, focusing on developing and implementing a production unit using investment casting technology for light aluminum alloys, with potential evaluations for magnesium alloys.

The role's objectives are:

• Define and industrialize the technological process (materials, tooling, processes, parameters, working methods)
• Develop and manage a detailed business plan covering equipment, layout, process capacity, personnel training, make-or-buy decisions, and supplier evaluation, including process and product qualification phases.

Required skills:

• Strong teamwork attitude
• Ability to structure process phases and document procedures/instructions
• Focus on continuous improvement and achieving KPIs related to non-conformity costs, effectiveness, and efficiency
• Preferred experience with casting and mold-filling simulation software (e.g., Magmasoft, ProCAST)
• Familiarity with 3D modeling fundamentals using CATIA V5
• At least 5 years of technical experience in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Production, preferably within investment casting companies

Language Skills: Proficiency in Italian and English
