Environmental Data Analyst

Overview

Our client in Ispra, Italy is one of the biggest science hubs in Europe. It employs approximately 3.000 top-notch researchers, engineers and scientists eager to resolve challenges and provide knowledge in order to support EU policies in a variety of areas from agriculture and food security, to environment and climate change, as well as nuclear safety, security and growth.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and perform quality control of EU and national statistical datasets (e.g., database of production and consumption of food, material flow analysis).
• Support the analysis and modeling of food waste generation and related supply chains with material flow analysis tools, LCA software and ad hoc developed tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of higher education and 4 years of professional experience on top of studies.
• Environmental specialist with significant experience in statistical and data analysis software for environmental data analysis and food or bacteria related datasets.
• Good knowledge of LCA analysis and relevant tools (SimaPro, Gambi, etc).
• Proficiency in the use of statistical analysis (R, MatLab, etc) tools is required.
• Knowledge of material flow analysis software.
• Knowledge of software for rendering (e.g. Autocad).
• Excellent and advanced Knowledge of Microsoft office package, especially excel.
• Good writing and presentation skills in English.
• Capability of working in an international / multicultural environment and working in team.
