About the Role
- Lead research and development projects from concept feasibility (TRL 3) to field demonstration (TRL 6).
- Act as Systems Engineer, coordinating cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, sourcing) throughout all project phases.
- Manage program execution – planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and business case development.
- Conduct HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) assessments during testing, production, and industrialization phases.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and sourcing teams to identify process improvement opportunities and scout new suppliers.
- Define a 10‑year strategic automation and robotics roadmap.
- Communicate key achievements and milestones to senior leadership.
- Serve as a reference point for advanced manufacturing technologies across the organization.
- Foster collaboration with universities and research centers for low‑TRL research and manage both technical and project execution aspects.
- Perform technology scouting and build a strategic supplier network for future initiatives.
- Draft detailed technical specifications, align vendors on requirements, and lead technical and economic evaluations.
- Oversee the execution of industrialized solutions – design reviews, site acceptance tests (SAT), and final acceptance tests (FAT).
- Manage lab equipment – scheduled maintenance and procurement of new tools and instruments.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, or related fields).
- Proven experience in technical leading roles within automation and robotics.
- Strong project management, systems engineering, and supplier coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Solid understanding of HSE standards and lab operations.
