Senior Reservoir Engineer

Overview

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Reservoir Engineer with a strong technical background in Reservoir Engineering to lead and deliver high-impact oil and gas projects. In this role, you will manage project lifecycles from initiation to completion, drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, maintain excellent client relationships, and actively contribute to technical project deliverables. Your leadership and expertise will be critical in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard in terms of quality, efficiency, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Act as a key client liaison—understand objectives, provide strategic input, and maintain long-term, trusted partnerships.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, geoscientists, and subject matter experts to develop tailored, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure delivery success.
• Monitor and control project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to optimize performance and meet contractual obligations.
• Deliver high-quality project documentation and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Stay informed on the latest industry developments, technologies, and regulations, applying insights to enhance project outcomes.
• Provide technical input on subsurface evaluations, including reservoir modelling, production data analysis, development planning, and asset optimization, depending on your expertise.
• Offer technical leadership and mentoring within project teams, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and identifying new opportunities with existing and potential clients.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Petroleum Engineering, Subsurface Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience as a Reservoir Engineer, with a demonstrable track record in project management.
• Strong command of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Agile frameworks, etc.).
• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and lead interdisciplinary teams in a client-facing environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
