Role Overview

The Cooling Category Buyer will be part of the Local Procurement organization.
Key responsibilities include initiating and executing technical material productivity initiatives, managing categories and vendors to support local business needs, and reporting to the Procurement Manager.

Major Focus

  • Manage a few categories and vendors to guarantee business continuity and proper material negotiation and cost control. Responsible for selecting and managing suppliers delivering components for Cooling units. The responsibilities include Category Management, new supplier scouting and onboarding, supplier negotiation, quality and service level assurance, and working with cross‑departmental staff to grant business continuity in accordance with forecast needs.
  • Participate in the BOC to animate productivity actions with the target to get them approved and applied within P&L date, working in cooperation with R&D and Plant Quality, representing the full Procurement team in the BOC.
  • Support Buyers to organize, execute and lead QVE days/actions working in cooperation with Project Managers, Marketing, Quality and R&D. Build and follow up a solid pipeline of projects through new ideas that secure productivity year over year to guarantee a robust RF productivity plan in cooperation with Buyers & Procurement Manager.

Qualifications

  • University / College degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing or Supply Chain areas or Project Management.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Processes.
  • Fluent English (written and oral).
  • Availability to travel internationally (Valid Passport and USA Visa).
  • Supply Chain knowledge, Supplier Management, Negotiation, Market analysis, Cost Modeling.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specs, drawings, BOM (Bill of Material).
  • Project Management knowledge.
  • Internal Cost and Budget Management knowledge.
  • Total cost analysis.
  • Proficient in Database Management (Excel, PowerPoint high level).
