Mapping Operator Responsibilities
Operator must live in mapping area
Operate mapping vehicles with care and attention, abiding by all traffic and highway rules.
Work effectively as part of a larger mapping team.
Follow the rules and work missions as requested by the
Project Manager_
Evening and weekend collection may be necessary at times
Complete daily checks on the vehicle and equipment and notify manager of any issues.
Operate carefully especially with the regards to the equipment on the vehicle, such as knowledge of the height of the vehicle with the equipment, being mindful of low
hanging objects such as trees.
Protect the equipment and vehicle by always parking the vehicle securely.
Follow security protocols and instructions from managers.
Maintain confidentiality of the project and the data collected.
Maintain required logs as set forth by the
Project Manager._
Operate and monitor the sensor equipment on a daily basis in the mapping vehicle.
Consideration to the equipment and functionality of it is mandatory.
Troubleshoot equipment issues.
Be a citizen, Legal Residence Card, or a Working Visa (no Student Visas accepted) and authorized to work in the posted country.
A valid operator's license to operate in any valid state.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Ability to work well in a team.
Ability to listen to managers and complete tasks efficiently.
Basic Technical Familiarity with maps, phones and tablet computers.
Be able to logically follow technical instructions.
Good understanding of the posted country's road network.
Be a good communicator and be able to complete reports for managers.
Strength to lift up to 50lbs, plus bending and twisting
Honest, open and transparent communication.
Be a legal citizen, Legal Residence Card, or a Working Visa with no restrictions (no Student Visas accepted).
Requirements
Have some level of expertise and aptitude in motor vehicle mechanics
Have at least
four (4) years of driving experience
as well as experience driving for long periods of time
Prefer
to be 25 years of age, but will consider appropriate experience
Have the capability to understand physical security protocols
Have the ability to follow instructions and know when to run program issues up a chain of command rather than attempting to resolve issues independently
Have experience with iOS devices, and should be technically savvy
Be able to work long hours in stressful environments
Have a valid driver’s license and are permitted to drive in the posted country
Clear driving record
Ability to pass a 5 or 7 Panel Drug Screen
Due to sensitivity of equipment and project, you must consent to random drug screening throughout entire project
Pass a Background check
MUST be able to speak fluent English.
Desired Skills
General car knowledge
Ability to climb on small step ladder to access roof mounted camera
Knowledge of smart phone and its use

Timeline
Tentative training start of March 17th, project start of March 24th, 2025.
Temporary employment _
running to approximately end of May to early June, 2025. Understand the timeline could fluctuate based on collection area and client needs and requirements._
