For a multinational company, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Industrial Engineering Manager to lead and develop our engineering team in Italy. This role involves managing engineers working across various industrial sectors such as automotive, energy, paper, steel, textiles, and food & beverage. Responsibilities span full project lifecycle management and the coordination of maintenance service.

This is a strategic leadership position, essential to driving the growth of the Engineering business in Italy and supporting Sales teams in expanding opportunities with key customers. A strong technical background combined with excellent people management and communication skills is crucial to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers and service technicians working on industrial projects.
• Oversee the full project cycle: from customer acquisition, costing, and execution to installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Collaborate with the sales team to support business development and customer engagement.
• Manage the industrial service team, including planning of maintenance, service activities, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand preventive maintenance contracts and reduce ad hoc service calls.
• Build and maintain a reliable network of subcontractors, while balancing internal resources and external partners.
• Serve as the interface between the engineering team and the chemical sales department to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Monitor project performance, quality standards, and customer satisfaction indicators.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in technical and managerial roles in industrial environments.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading technical teams.
• Solid understanding of service operations and investment project execution.
• Fluent in Italian and proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel nationally (20–30%) and monthly presence in the Milan office.
