Overview

Handling & Logistics Training Engineer Professional - Taranto. Responsible for developing and improving training material for wind turbine blade handling and logistics, focusing on modern training systems and digital enabling tools. The role emphasizes training material quality, process vision, and factory logistics operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize training material within the Handling & Logistic process.
  • Analyze AS IS and future state of training material and systems.
  • Create process roadmaps and plans for future states.
  • Define training material requirements and specifications if material shall be developed by others.
  • Standardize generic layup training materials.
  • Contribute to building a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsibility.
  • Investigate and solve training issues using structured methods (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams).
  • Apply continuous improvement principles using Lean tools to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final training material quality.

Education

  • Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • Train the Trainer or other training education

Experience

  • 6-8 years of developing training material mainly for unskilled workers
  • Training of shop floor employees
  • Planning of training for up to 100 persons
  • Developed/defined functional training material for employees with a short or long education

Essential skills

  • Ability to assess skill gaps and define learning objectives aligned with business goals
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, blended learning, and experiential training formats
  • Work with engineering managers and subject matter experts to co-develop content for functional training material
  • Ensure training aligns with ISO standards, safety regulations, and internal policies
  • Familiarity with LMS and e-learning tools
  • Gather input from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs
  • Willingness to spend time in the factory environment to understand and solve problems
  • Data-Driven Decision Making; use of 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and organized
  • Ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
  • Be an integral part of cross-functional product development projects
  • Customer-oriented with understanding of the complete business value chain from a customer perspective
