Network Observability & Analytics Engineer

Team: Digital Networks & AI (DNA) at Fastweb+Vodafone.

The Network Observability & Analytics Engineer will evolve and maintain the network observability ecosystem, contributing to the design of OSS measurement, monitoring, and diagnostic systems across the Fastweb+Vodafone network.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network measurement and telemetry systems (fixed and mobile) following project phases.
  • Design diagnostic tools and algorithms, modeling problems from collected network data in collaboration with cross‑functional engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on technical support services, handling requirements gathering to production rollout.
  • Manage end‑to‑end project phases for system and service deployment (scoping, sizing, testing, production installation).
  • Coordinate suppliers and/or support internal development teams for solution implementation.
  • Perform data analysis and dashboarding on relational databases to validate solutions and verify performance.
  • Create data products using ML and AI techniques for automation and advanced analytics.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
  • Knowledge of internet technologies and network communication protocols.
  • Passion for data analysis with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks.

Location & Working Conditions

Milano, hybrid. Full time, Permanent.
