Job Purpose/Role
As a Senior Analyst your role will encompass a variety of dynamic and challenging tasks. You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of experts, from both Allianz SpA and other international Allianz SE Group legal entities. This includes interaction with Actuarial, Accounting & Reporting colleagues, and technical area teams in the segments Life & Health, Property & Casualty and Banking, as well as with the CEO Staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the coordination and preparation of the annual Strategic and Planning Dialogue documents, in accordance with Allianz Group's guidelines, proactively interfacing with all business functions and contributing to the development of the Company’s mid-term industrial strategy.
- Conducting in-depth analyses of market trends in the insurance industry, covering both Life and Non-Life segments, and performing ad-hoc analyses to support the CFO, including benchmarking studies.
- Retaining a holistic overview of ongoing strategic topics at Company and local market levels, assisting in the preparation of quarterly updates to various Allianz SE Group Board Members, ensuring alignment with Accounting & Reporting and all relevant business functions.
- Contributing to local or Allianz Group special projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing growth, resilience, and productivity within Allianz SpA and its subsidiaries.
- Playing an active role in M&A processes, including support in scouting potential M&A targets; critical analyses of financial, actuarial, commercial, legal, compliance and labour due diligence outcomes; valuation exercises using fundamental and empirical methods; vendor business case review and adjustment; internal business case preparation; preparation of internal documents for approval processes at both Allianz SpA and Allianz SE Group levels; coordination of the entire working group including external advisors; filing documents preparation for authorities’ approvals (IVASS, Golden Power, Antitrust).
- Providing support for internal reorganization projects (e.g., merger, contribution in kind) by performing analyses and preparing documents for local and Allianz SE approvals, as well as for filing purposes.
Key Requirements / Skills / Experience
- Master’s degree in quantitative fields, preferably Finance, Economics, Actuarial, Management Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent.
- Experience (e.g., 2-3 years) within the financial services sector, preferably in insurance, in similar roles or in auditing, consulting firms and investment banking.
- Good understanding of the insurance business, encompassing both Life and Non-Life segments, along with specific knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Familiarity with Accounting topics and with the Solvency II regulatory framework.
- Experience in M&A processes and valuation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with other Microsoft tools, programming and/or data management skills a plus.
- Data analytics and reporting skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills, applying a systematic and structured approach to data analysis.
- Entrepreneurial attitude and learning agility, orientation towards technical excellence, complemented by a strong focus on results and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines, showcasing project management skills and ability to navigate complex tasks efficiently.
