Electrical Supervisor

Contract Type: Freelance

Duration: 12 months (at least)

Experience: More than 15 years in a similar role in the O&G sector

Education

  • Technical High School Diploma
  • University Degree in Electrical field (preferred)

Skills & Certification

  • Good spoken and written knowledge of foreign languages (preferably English, French or Spanish); knowledge of a technical dictionary is a plus.
  • Proficient PC skills including Windows and Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of International Quality Standards and applicable design and construction norms and standards.
  • Knowledge and experience of major standards applied to Oil &Gas projects (e.g. EEMUA, API, ISO/EN, ASME, AWS, Customer Standards).

Duties

  • Supervise contractor’s electrical activities on site, ensuring construction works (erection, installation, testing) comply with drawings, specifications, and applicable international codes and standards.
  • Ensure contractors are performed by competent, experienced personnel in sufficient numbers; promptly advise the Customer Interface on any areas of concern.
  • Ensure electrical activities maintain the highest HSE standards; cooperate closely with the Customer and contractors HSE staff, monitor, report, and act to uphold HSE culture.
  • Monitor construction schedules and look‑ahead, highlighting delays, reasons, and possible remedial actions.
  • Participate actively in construction meetings with contractors.
  • Review and comment on contractor documents (technical reports, specifications, procedures, methods statements, drawings, TQ, CR, etc.) to ensure adherence to established procedures and good engineering practice.
  • Ensure all documentation relevant to construction, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning phases is compliant; highlight discrepancies to relevant staff and departments and obtain remedial actions.
  • Expedite material delivery, distribution, and availability in accordance with planned activities; highlight delays, non‑compliance, low quality, etc.
  • Verify compliance of utilized bulk materials with project specifications and standards.
  • Validate electrical works progress.
  • Ensure electrical punch lists are properly identified, integrated into the Mechanical Completion master punch list, and cleared.
