System & Software Engineer – Avionic Systems (Navigation & FMS)

TXT e-Tech Srl, part of TXT Group, is looking for two professionals with solid experience in System Engineering and Software Engineering applied to complex avionic systems, with a focus on Navigation Systems (TACAN, DME, VOR, etc.) and Flight Management System (FMS).
The selected professionals will join an integrated team working in close collaboration with a leading aerospace customer, contributing to a strategic, high-profile program. Full on-site presence at the customer’s premises is required.
Main responsibilities
- Analysis, specification, design, and integration of Navigation and FMS components
- Support to requirements definition and traceability using DOORS or equivalent tools
- Contribution to certification processes in compliance with DO-178C, ARP4754A, DO-254
- Preparation of technical documentation in accordance with regulatory and customer standards
- Participation in design reviews, technical meetings, and direct customer interface
- Application of MBSE methodologies using tools such as CATIA Magic / Cameo Systems Modeler (SysML)
Mandatory requirements
- Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM disciplines
- 2+ years of experience in avionic systems development, with a focus on Navigation and FMS
- Strong knowledge of system engineering processes and safety-critical software development
- Familiarity with avionic standards: DO-178C, DO-254, ARINC 424, ARINC 661, ARP4754A
- Knowledge of communication protocols: ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, AFDX
- Experience with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, DOORS, Git, Jira, version control systems
- Excellent command of technical English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work autonomously, proactive attitude, and strong teamwork orientation
Preferred requirements
- Experience in flight simulation environments or integration on real aircraft
- Software development skills in Ada, C/C++, Python
- SysML modeling architectural design and analysis
